Donna Player

Fashion Director & Retail Tragic

Donna Player is a Senior Executive with 35+ years experience in retail, marketing, product development and commercial expertise gained in both retail and wholesale industries, absolutely focused on delivery of key financials measures.

Recently, the Group Executive of Merchandise for Fashion, Beauty, Footwear, Accessories and Home for David Jones responsible for developing and executing the merchandise strategy including merchandise planning, brand and supplier strategies for wholesale, concession and online. An in depth understanding of the Australian retail market at all levels, Department Stores, Specialty and Discount Department Stores in respect of merchandise, marketing and operations.

A passionate agent and role model for change, with a demonstrated ability to lead major change programs across many facets of business including, product, marketing, processes and systems.Significant experience in identifying gaps in the market and developing strong and effective strategic partnerships with branded and own brand suppliers to realise the opportunities and deliver financial outcomes.

Craig Woolford

Managing Director Head of Research & Lead Consumer Analyst Citi Australia & New Zealand

Craig Woolford was appointed Director of Research for Citi Australia/NZ in February 2016. Craig joined the firm in 2005 and has been an investment analyst for fifteen years specialising in supermarket and discretionary retailing.

Craig’s role involves leadership of a team of more than fifty analysts and associates providing insights about companies listed on the ASX. Citi’s Research team has been consistently ranked top three by fund managers for the past three years.

Craig has been an analyst for fifteen years with a lengthy specialization in the retail, food and beverages sectors. His analyst work focuses on unique industry insights about supermarkets, department stores, specialty retailers and food & beverages producers. He has been consistently ranked the top of his sector from 2009 through to 2015 in the Peter Lee survey of Fund Managers.

Craig’s previous experience includes equity product development, funds management and debt origination. Craig has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Finance and Accounting from the University of New South Wales and is a CFA Charterholder.

Luca Solca

Head of Luxury, Exane BNP Paribas

Luca Solca has been voted #1 luxury goods analyst in the Institutional Investor surveys in four of the past six years (2011, 2014, 2015, 2016) whenever he was covering the sector. Luca has a 25+ years’ experience in luxury goods. He was 12 years in consulting and a partner of the Boston Consulting Group - serving luxury goods, consumer goods and retail clients all over Europe. He moved on to lead a publicly traded luxury conglomerate – that he restructured and refinanced between 2002 and 2005. He has worked on the sellside in the past 11 years, covering both luxury goods and general retail – as well as trying his hand as Director of Research in 2012 and 2013.

Luca is a magna cum laude SDA Bocconi MBA (1990).

Michel Campan

CEO of mcgarrybowen luxury

Michel Campan is a senior pioneer of digital in France, the home to most of the world’s foremost luxury brands.

An innovator in the digital space as President and Founder of ‘SAME SAME But Different’ which was recently acquired by mcgarrybowen. Thus creating Paris based global mcgarrybowen luxury digital agency, specialising in the luxury sector, creating and implementing meaningful digital brand environments to clients including Louis Vuitton, Van Cleef & Arpels, Piaget, Chloe and L’Oreal.

In 2000, he created the internet department at Hermès as well as their ecommerce site, which he directed for several years.  In 2006, he became Director of Interactive Marketing and CRM at Lancôme before becoming Senior Vice President in 2008. He launched his agency SAME SAME, a strategic and creative digital agency of luxury brands, where he has dealt at HQ level with most of the global luxury groups LVMH, Kering and Richemont.

Super-connected, seemingly always on a layover between two airplanes, usually between Paris and China, Michel Campan is a top pioneer of digital in France.
