Craig Woolford was appointed Director of Research for Citi Australia/NZ in February 2016. Craig joined the firm in 2005 and has been an investment analyst for fifteen years specialising in supermarket and discretionary retailing.
Craig’s role involves leadership of a team of more than fifty analysts and associates providing insights about companies listed on the ASX. Citi’s Research team has been consistently ranked top three by fund managers for the past three years.
Craig has been an analyst for fifteen years with a lengthy specialization in the retail, food and beverages sectors. His analyst work focuses on unique industry insights about supermarkets, department stores, specialty retailers and food & beverages producers. He has been consistently ranked the top of his sector from 2009 through to 2015 in the Peter Lee survey of Fund Managers.
Craig’s previous experience includes equity product development, funds management and debt origination. Craig has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Finance and Accounting from the University of New South Wales and is a CFA Charterholder.
Luca Solca has been voted #1 luxury goods analyst in the Institutional Investor surveys in four of the past six years (2011, 2014, 2015, 2016) whenever he was covering the sector. Luca has a 25+ years’ experience in luxury goods. He was 12 years in consulting and a partner of the Boston Consulting Group - serving luxury goods, consumer goods and retail clients all over Europe. He moved on to lead a publicly traded luxury conglomerate – that he restructured and refinanced between 2002 and 2005. He has worked on the sellside in the past 11 years, covering both luxury goods and general retail – as well as trying his hand as Director of Research in 2012 and 2013.
